You are invited to participate in The Second International Conference on Informatics Engineering & Information Science (ICIEIS2013) that will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Nov. 12-14, 2013. The event will be held over two days, with presentations delivered by researchers from the international community, including presentations from keynote speakers and state-of-the-art lectures.

This conference is unique in the sense that it relates to the state of the art technology and application in Information Science (IS) and Informatics Engineering (IE) which complement each other in term of its sustainability and applicability. Modern and intelligent methods are commonly utilized to establish a bridge between both IS and IE as are listed below.

The conference welcomes papers on the following (but not limited to) research topics:

Intelligent Methods and Applications

  • Rough Set Theory and its Applications in Data Analysis
  • AI Methods in Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery
  • Intelligent Data Acquisition, Selection, and Processing
  • AI / Soft Computing Methods in Machine Learning
  • AI Tools for Pattern Recognition, Signal, and Image Processing
  • Decision Support Systems and Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis
  • Process Mining and Intelligent Planning
  • Web Intelligence and Web Mining
  • Hybrid and Integrated Intelligent Systems
  • Utilization of Domain Knowledge in KDD

  • e-Skills and Information Literacy for Learning
  • m-Learning Emergence & Strategies
  • m-Learning System Development
  • Bioinformatics
  • Oil and Gas Informatics
  • Geographic Information System (GIS)
However, papers on applications of Intelligent Methods in information Science and Informatics Engineering tracks are especially welcome.

All registered papers will be included in SDIWC Digital Library, and in the proceedings of the conference.

All the submitted papers will be reviewed by a minimum of two reviewers. The published proceedings will be indexed in ResearchBib, in addition, they will be indexed by at least five or more of the following: DBLP, EI, INSPEC, Research Bible, Scirus, Microsoft Academic Research, ResearchGate, and Google Scholar Databases. In addition, ALL registered papers will be published in one of the following special issues provided that the author do major improvements and extension within the time frame that will be set by the conference and his/her paper is approved by the chief editor:
